Study Objective
This systematic review aims to determine mothers' perspectives regarding toddlers' picky eating behavior, understanding how mothers perceive and manage picky eating in their children.

This review examines the influence of maternal feeding practices and children's eating habits. It explores how mothers' perspectives on picky eating contribute to the management of feeding challenges in toddlers. The study identifies key factors, including feeding pressure and emotional feeding, that influence the development of picky eating behaviors and the stress they cause within the family unit.
Study Design
Systematic review of existing literature, with a focus on maternal perspectives and feeding practices related to picky eating behavior in toddlers.
Population
Mothers of toddlers, predominantly from studies published between 2013 and 2023.
Sample Size
41 studies included in the review.
Inclusion Criteria
Studies published in English, focused on picky eating or similar behaviors, maternal perspectives on feeding practices, and the effects of picky eating on family dynamics.
Exclusion Criteria
Studies outside the specified date range, non-English articles, and studies not focusing on maternal perspectives or picky eating.
Intervention/Exposure
Parenting practices, maternal interventions, and feeding techniques used to address picky eating behaviors.
Outcome Measures
Mothers' perceptions, the impact of picky eating on family dynamics, and associated stress and health concerns.
